Nos últimos três anos, o contexto energético europeu passou por uma transformação significativa, impulsionada por crises geopolíticas, como a guerra na Ucrânia, e pelo aumento da urgência climática. A dependência histórica da Europa em relação ao gás natural russo revelou-se uma vulnerabilidade crítica, forçando a diversificação de fornecedores e a aceleração da implementação de fontes renováveis e nucleares. Esse movimento também destacou os desafios associados ao protecionismo e à fragmentação geopolítica, que encarecem as cadeias de abastecimento e estão a atrasar a transição energética. Apesar do crescimento recorde de instalações solares e avanços no armazenamento por baterias, a volatilidade dos preços de energia e os atrasos regulatórios continuam a dificultar o progresso.
Premissas anteriores, como a estabilidade de preços em mercados interconectados e a viabilidade de uma transição gradual, foram refutadas pelos eventos recentes. A crise energética de 2022 mostrou que os sistemas existentes não eram resilientes o suficiente para lidar com choques extremos de oferta, enquanto mudanças climáticas e procuras crescentes por soluções de eletrificação evidenciaram a necessidade de intervenções mais rápidas. Além disso, tecnologias essenciais para a descarbonização de setores de difícil eletrificação, como hidrogênio e captura de carbono, têm encontrado múltiplas barreiras dada a sua baixa competitividade económica, necessitando de uma reflexão pragmática sobre se serão o caminho a seguir.
Para garantir o sucesso da transição, a Europa precisará implementar políticas robustas, como preços eficazes para o carbono e incentivos diretos às energias limpas. A eletrificação do transporte e dos edifícios deve ser acelerada, enquanto investimentos em redes inteligentes e armazenamento energético são cruciais para integrar fontes intermitentes e enfrentar eventos climáticos extremos. Embora avanços tenham sido feitos, como a previsão de pico de emissões em 2024, o ritmo atual não é suficiente para atingir as metas do Acordo de Paris. A cooperação regional, combinada com inovação tecnológica e resiliência das cadeias de abastecimento, será essencial para superar os desafios estruturais, económicos e geopolíticos que ainda ameaçam cada vez mais o futuro energético e por consequência a competitividade. “Transformar pela educação: vozes femininas no ensino” é o tema do Próximo Women Leaders Forum. Este evento é uma oportunidade única para conhecer a perspetiva de três mulheres em posições de liderança, no setor educativo e para explorar os desafios e as recompensas que enfrentam na sua missão de formar as gerações futuras.
AESE Women Leaders Forum (WLF) é um espaço de encontro, reflexão e partilha entre profissionais e executivas promovido pelas Antigas Alunas da AESE. Desde há 9 anos que reúne, num formato de almoço-colóquio, com oradoras de referência sobre temas económicos, sociais e culturais bem como áreas do desenvolvimento pessoal.
Cada oradora trará uma visão única sobre as realidades que vive no seu ambiente de trabalho, abordando os desafios pessoais e profissionais de gerir e inspirar alunos, pais, e professores. Este fórum permitirá também entender as oportunidades e contribuições que a liderança feminina oferece no contexto educativo, promovendo um debate enriquecedor sobre o impacto transformador da educação.
