Based on a very strong core of courses which cover the main management areas, as well as a stream of customizable options that include remarkable international weeks to New York and Tokyo, AESE MBA gives the opportunity to develop skills around influence, empathy, team management, setting strategic goals, which are skills that many organizations are looking for, specially under the current times of high level of uncertainty and ambiguity.
The case method approach, is definitely a competitive advantage and a differentiator of AESE MBA vis-à-vis other schools, stimulating the development of end-to-end decision-making process, from the individual reflection, moving to small group discussion and final presentation to a wider audience in the classroom.
I had a lot of exposure to top notch peers, faculty and invited speakers with many professional backgrounds and I was involved in class projects and case studies that dive deeply into different industries and sectors. On top of this, having a privileged access to a vast alumni network, which is very dynamic in organizing events with renowned speakers, is definitely one advantage in which one can leveraged on throughout its career.
The academic part of the MBA logically flows into the final project named Entrepreneurial Initiative, which encompasses all the processes of origination of a new venture. This is where students are meant to apply all the skills and knowledge that were acquired throughout the program and, under the supervision and guidance of a mentor, elaborate a Business Plan which is then presented to potential venture capital investors. This entrepreneurial drive and practical perspective are of utmost importance for someone who is deeply involved (or aims to be) in business management roles or in launching new ideas and projects into the market.
I was looking to pick up the pace of my professional development and accelerate my career path. Looking back to the last two years, I feel that AESE MBA was the right choice and gave me the leadership toolkit needed to progress in my career.
