Acabei por sair da organização onde estava (que muito contribuiu para o meu crescimento pessoal e profissional) e senti-me confortável e confiante para assumir uma função de gestão integral de recursos humanos, um novo desafio, que está a correr lindamente.
Na empresa onde estava, a Trivalor, já assumia funções na área de desenvolvimento de pessoas. Portanto, já fazia parte das minhas funções a articulação com a AESE, nomeadamente a seleção das pessoas que viriam fazer os programas. Conhecia os programas muito bem.
Eu fui aluna da Covid,ou seja o meu PDE – o PDE 75, decorreu praticamente todo durante esse tempo. Começámos as aulas ainda em regime online. Portanto, quando recebemos o repto, para inscrever algumas pessoas naquela edição pensei: “porque não eu? Este programa é realmente interessante. Estava numa fase da carreira em que estava a aumentar o meu leque de responsabilidades na função em que estava e achei que fazia sentido.”
Do que conhecia do programa parecia-me muito abrangente. Hoje, continuo a dizer que a mais-valia do PDE é dar-nos uma perspetiva muito abrangente dos vários desafios que uma direção tem dentro de uma empresa, independentemente de qual seja a área de foco. Era isso que eu sentia: estava já na área de recursos humanos, mas precisava de perceber – e a área de recursos humanos vive disto – quais são os desafios das outras direções, o que é que preocupa as pessoas, que competências que as pessoas precisam para conseguir levar a cabo aquilo que são as suas responsabilidades e atingir os seus objetivos. Pareceu-me que era o programa certo para me trazer esse conhecimento e conseguir falar com pessoas de outras áreas. Muitas vezes, naqueles programas muito direcionados, acabamos por contactar com pessoas que têm as mesmas responsabilidades que nós, as mesmas dificuldades que nós. Isto é bom; mas por outro lado, não nos acrescenta tanto. Eu precisava de falar com Diretores Financeiros, Diretores Operacionais… pessoas que realmente têm outros desafios.
Propus à minha empresa e disseram que sim. Foi isso que me motivou a vir. E vi as minhas expectativas efetivamente cumpridas, confesso.
Optei pela AESE por ser uma Escola com muita notoriedade e isso é inquestionável. Contribui o facto dos programas serem muito holísticos e abrangentes. Para quem quer sentir e alargar os horizontes, não há escola melhor. Conta muito a parte do network. É uma escola que tem excelentes relações no mundo empresarial e que nos dá a oportunidade de conhecer pessoas que só têm a acrescentar-nos, pelos desafios profissionais e pelas empresas onde estão. Isso é uma mais-valia muito grande.
O principal desafio foi conciliar todo o trabalho que há para fazer em casa. Temos muitos TPC’s. E o volume vai sendo cada vez maior ao longo do programa, dada a quantidade de casos que temos para ler. Este método de estudo do caso é muito bom porque, na verdade, não há aquele tema dos momentos de avaliação. Nós conseguimos tirar tanto mais proveito do programa, quanto mais tempo investirmos a preparar os casos. Quando chegamos ao momento de discuti-los, quanto mais bem preparados estamos, mais proveito vamos tirar desse tempo de discussão e das aulas que acabam por vir sempre na sequência dos casos. As aulas estão montadas, exatamente para estudar os casos sob várias perspetivas. Se calhar houve semanas em que não consegui estudar tão bem e, consequentemente, a capacidade que tinha para discutir os casos em sala era, obviamente, menor.
Portanto, quanto mais tempo e melhor nos conseguirmos organizar para ler os casos e preparar os casos antes das aulas mais proveito vamos tirar. Aqui o desafio é conseguir adaptar a agenda e entrar na dinâmica, criar uma disciplina de dedicarmos algumas horas do nosso fim de semana para ler os casos, para nos prepararmos. No início toda essa gestão é um desafio, mas todos nós nos conseguimos adaptar. E até no próprio grupo vão-se criando dinâmicas de entreajuda.
Muito impulsionado pela AESE, uma das coisas que eu destaco no PDE é a capacidade de criar relações humanas entre os participantes do PDE. Promove muta dinâmica, nomeadamente na discussão dos casos, nos almoços, que servem claramente para impulsionarem as relações entre todos. Pessoalmente, para além de todos os outros, fiz realmente 2 bons amigos, 2 pessoas que passaram a ser amigos de casa e de Família, e que conheci no PDE. Portanto, isso para mim, já é uma coisa maravilhosa que retiro para o resto da minha vida, da participação neste programa. A viagem a Madrid é também uma oportunidade para que estas relações se estreitem. Continuamos a manter os nossos jantares de grupo."

A minha carreira foi toda feita no setor público, com um percurso diversificado, mas sempre com ligação aos recursos humanos, nomeadamente em cargos dirigentes. Em 2018, passei a trabalhar para a Casa da Moeda, que pertence ao setor empresarial do Estado, e isso exigiu da minha parte um desafio diferente, e com isto não estou a dizer que é mais exigente. A verdade é que os dirigentes da Administração Pública lidam todos os dias com muitos obstáculos e com muitas regras, o que dificulta bastante a margem de atuação que é muito espartilhada pelas inúmeras regras, mas a Administração Pública conta com muitos perfis não acomodados e são esses profissionais que lutam bastante para assegurar o funcionamento dos nossos serviços. Quando chego à Casa da Moeda, o desafio foi efetivamente diferente porque consistia na possibilidade de integrar, no setor público, uma empresa, uma sociedade anónima, e, portanto, ter muito mais margem de gestão na definição de políticas e atividades, tornando a empresa atrativa para as pessoas em concorrência de mercado. Para tal, precisava de adquirir mais conhecimento das diferentes áreas da empresa. O PDE era o programa que existia no mercado e que podia dar resposta a isto.
Nós sabemos que temos boa formação em Portugal, uma boa formação académica. Porém, o PDE com esta componente transversal, com foco na liderança e com uma abordagem holística das diversas matérias, é único. Só a AESE é que nos proporciona isto, num programa de longa duração: isso é indiscutível. Por isso, para mim, fazia todo o sentido fazer o PDE.
Quem está na área de Pessoas tem uma obrigação adicional de conhecer as dores das outras áreas, porque só se conhecermos as dificuldades que os nossos pares têm é que conseguimos apoiar na formação das equipas, no seu desenvolvimento, recrutamento e retenção. No meu caso concreto, este era o programa que fazia todo o sentido.
O ter de ir almoçar nos dias de programa, mostra como desde logo é diferente a abordagem da AESE. Todo o programa está montado para promover um espírito de equipa, a possibilidade de conhecermos pessoas de diferentes organizações - o que é já em si uma riqueza indiscutível. Depois, a maneira como os grupos são montados na perspetiva multidisciplinar – o que para mim é fundamental na maneira como todo o programa decorre-. Portanto, quando nós nos sentamos como num Conselho de Administração para analisar os casos que estivemos a ler é muto interessante perceber como na nossa área temos abordagens diferentes para a resolução do caso. Isso gera discussões muto interessantes, discussões acesas. Portanto, a AESE é uma Escola diferente.”
O desafio de fazer o PDE é a disciplina de termos de encaixar a formação na nossa vida. Isso assusta um bocadinho, mais para quem vai começar do que durante. “Com a agenda alucinada que já tenho hoje, como é que eu vou conseguir encaixar uma tarde e uma manhã e ainda a leitura dos casos?” Na verdade, a leitura de casos, por regra tem de acontecer no fim de semana. É difícil conseguirmos encaixar na nossa agenda semanal, mas a quebra que temos para estudarmos e virmos às aulas duas vezes por semana, lembro-me de me ter ajudado várias vezes a resolver problemas. Penso que isto já aconteceu a todos nós. Quando estava completamente enrolada no meio do problema, o facto de ter estado fora um tempo, permitia que eu tivesse uma abordagem diferente e encarasse a questão com a cabeça mais esclarecida, mais leve e resolver os problemas. Comentei isto algumas vezes com participantes do PDE e várias pessoas concordaram que isto acontecia. Esse exercício de encaixar o programa na agenda acaba por nos trazer vantagens: se bem que seja um desafio, é também uma oportunidade.
Pela maneira como o programa está montado, estas relações pessoais rapidamente se criam, assim como o espírito de companheirismo, dentro de todo o grupo. Este é um fator diferenciador desta formação, que não existe em mais nenhuma escola. É promovido pela AESE e pela equipa, que para mim, tem tudo a ver com o facto de em todos os módulos as Pessoas e a gestão ética e humana estarem presentes em todos os momentos.
O PDE foi determinante para a minha capacidade de compreender melhor e a ter maior grau de empatia com os problemas dos meus colegas e dos meus pares.

Concluímos que os problemas de organizações distintas, que todos nós sentimos, são muito semelhantes. Há uma discussão clássica nas organizações, de conflito entre a área comercial e de produção. Já tinha feito na AESE outros programas mais softs, como de negociação, finanças. Mas optei por este programa, sem dúvidas nenhumas.
Na AESE, realço as pessoas que compõem a Direção, os Diretores dos programas e os Professores, e a forma como nos relacionamos. Acima de tudo, a experiência vai para além de estar só num programa. Contribuem todas as iniciativas intercalares proporcionadas por esta Escola. Tenho um grande carinho pela AESE. Somos sempre muito bem recebidos.
Realço o ritmo que temos de ter durante o PDE. Se não tivermos, não vale a pena frequentarmos o programa. Esse ritmo também tem que ver com o interesse e com a complexidade de alguns dos casos e a forma como revemos a sua aplicabilidade nas nossas organizações. Nós revemo-nos, seja na área onde estamos, seja noutras. Há uma discussão muito saudável entre o grupo e os subgrupos.
Claro que foi um período difícil de conciliação entre a vida profissional, o PDE e a própria Família, que às vezes também participava no estudo dos casos. O que é que PDE alavancou? Antes de fazer o PDE a minha organização tinha uma força de trabalho de aproximadamente 600 pessoas, faturava cerca de 30 milhões de euros e, agora, a mesma organização tem uma força de trabalho de 4300 pessoas e fatura perto de 200 milhões de euros. Tenho a certeza de que a alavanca deste programa foi um dos pilares deste crescimento.
Relativamente ao network, 15 anos depois, na passada sexta-feira, estive a jantar com os meus colegas do programa PDE. É muito importante o network nos almoços, nos pequenos-almoços e em outros momentos de partilha. Tem interesse profissional do ponto de vista de negócio com outras organizações, tendo em conta as funções que eu exerço. Mas também do ponto de vista da minha organização, para encontrar soluções internamente. Ajudamo-nos a resolver problemas dentro das nossas organizações. Ou seja, todos nós temos preocupações no dia a dia, que de forma formal ou informalmente partilhávamos. Daí resultavam ideias porque tínhamos experiências diferentes e vínhamos de áreas diferentes. Foi muito gratificante. Isso não foi só no passado. Ainda hoje o fazemos. Continuamos em contacto permanente, sempre que temos um tema para partilhar uma ideia, preocupação ou desafio. Estas relações entre as pessoas, quer sejam pessoais quer sejam profissionais, são fundamentais.
Coincidência ou não, atualmente faço parte do Comité Executivo de uma grande organização. Não tenho dúvidas que este programa ajudou muito no relacionamento com pessoas e na gestão da empresa. O fator humano foi muito trabalhado. Ajudou a melhorar a minha forma de estar e a ser a pessoa que sou hoje.
