He holds an MBA from IE Business School, a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Navarra and completed his executive education at IESE.
He has an extensive C level executive experience in the financial services, construction, and airport retail businesses in the areas of strategy and corporate development. Starting his professional career at PwC, he has been working in different multinational and national groups, such as Aldeasa (Dufry) or San José Group, among others. He has addressed challenges in corporate transformation processes, strategy design and execution, M&A, or enterprise risk management.
Angel Proaño has been board member in several companies operating in different industries (financial services, real estate, technological services, or insurance brokerage).
Visiting professor at AESE Business School (PADE) in Portugal and ISEM Fashion Business School (PADEM), among others.
Currently combining teaching in Executive Education programs with the activity of senior advisor to CEOs, executive committees, and boards, on strategy execution and corporate governance at national and international level.

In this sense, I feel that the Executive MBA impacted me more than I ever imagined, not only as a leader, but as a person. It cultivated self-confidence and strengthened the capacity for critical analysis, judgment, decision-making, and action, either for a professional or personal purposes.
Furthermore, the Executive MBA was an amazing experience, where I shared and learned with an interesting group of people with different perspectives and backgrounds. In common we all had the drive to grow and make a difference, so we were always opened to discuss new ideas with respect for each others.
Ultimately, I must also mention the magic of the case method. This method enriched this journey because the cases expose real business dilemmas and taught me to size up business problems considering the organizational context and complex environments. Within the case method I would highlight the challenge to write a real business case inspired on a professional event we had experienced before. It was an interesting perspective because we structured a personal experience into an academic case study. É aqui que os alunos aplicam todas as competências e os conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo do programa e, sob a supervisão e orientação de um mentor, elaboram um Plano de Negócios, que é depois apresentado a potenciais investidores de capital de risco.
